INVERNESS CLASSROOMS
October 6th - 10th

INFANT 1:  Ms. Kay, Ms. Christi & Mrs. Janell
Fall is in the air in Infant 1.  We are having a great week! We have been working on our fall artwork.  We have been reading a variety of books.  We have been singing our favorite songs.  We are so proud of Chase Glawson, who is rolling over.  Chase, Isabel and Camryn are practicing sitting up.  If you have any special books about fall to share, please bring them.

INFANT 2:  Mrs. Katie, Ms. Candace & Mrs. Stephanie
We had a great week this week.  Way to go David and Colin who are rolling over and Sophie who is scooting.  We are so proud of you.  This week, our theme will continue with nutrition.  We will make fingerprint corn. Look for all of our artwork around the room and in the halls.  Our book for the week will be Today is Monday by Eric Carle.  We will also be riding the cart, blowing bubbles and singing songs.  Have a great week.

INFANT 3:  Mrs. Allison, Ms. Jenika & Ms. Genia
We have had a wonderful time in Infant 3.  We are learning about clapping and waving by and blowing kisses.  Congratulations to Katie for being so good her first week of school.  Way to go Katie!  Shout out for Rhys for taking his first step.  Way to go Rhys!  This week our theme is fitness and we have some great ideas for our babies.  Please send extra change of cooler clothes.

INFANT 4: Ms. Ashley, Ms. Megan & Ms. Katie
We had a good week learning about nutrition and healthy eating habits.  This week our theme is fitness and Columbus Day.  For circle time, we will read books about exercise and food. We will also play with our fake food and repeat the names.  For art, Ms. Megan has planned fun things for us to make.  Parents, please stop by and check it out.  We look forward to a wonderful week ahead!

TODDLER 1:  Mrs. Kelly & Ms. Michelle
We had a great time last week talking about nutrition.  This week our theme will be Columbus Day, fitness and the letter E.  For art, we will make telescopes, pain, Columbus ships, paint an elephant and much more.  We will run around outside to exercise.  For circle time, we are learning our colors, numbers, days of the week, ABC’s our numbers in Spanish and our shapes.  We are all having so much fun.  Have a great week.

TODDLER 2:  Ms. Beckee,  Ms. Hayes & Ms. Kasey
Last week we had pajama day.  We read our favorite bedtime book.  We also painted a friendship apple tree.  This week, we will make ships.  We are going to learn about the letter E.  We will have lots of fun art projects revolving around the letter E including one with Elvis.

TODDLER 3:  Ms. Tonya & Ms. Brittany
We had a great week in T3 learning about nutrition and healthy habits.  We painted green vegetables, ate fruity jello, painted with bread and decorated a hamburger.  We like learning about foods that keep our bodies healthy.  This week, we will learn about fitness to keep our bodies healthy.  We are learning about the letter F.

TODDLER 4:  Ms. Amy & Ms. Missy
We had a great week in Toddler Four. W e learned all about nutrition and healthy eating habits.  In art, we made yummy grapes, harvest baskets and green peas.  On Friday, we had a popcorn party and made a big popcorn bucket.  We also had a fun counting and sorting dry beans.  This week, we will continue to learn about nutrition.  In art, we will be making a fruit/color book and fingerprint corn on the cob.  We will also be learning all about the letter E.  We are learning and growing so much in T4 every day.  We are looking forward to another great week in T4 full of learning and fun.

K3A:  Ms. Amy & Ms. April
Last week we talked about nutrition.  This week we will talk about fitness and how being active and eating healthy makes your body stronger.  We will also focus on the letter Ee.  We will also talk about Columbus Day.

K3B:  Ms. Brittany, Ms. Virginia & Mrs. Kathy
Healthy foods are our favorite!  K3B has really enjoyed learning about healthy foods and good nutrition.  Next week, we will continue learning about fruits and vegetables.  We will be reviewing our letters, so there will be no new show and tell letter.  Our show and tell will be bringing your favorite fruit.  We will be helping the class to show their fruits and to prepare a fruit salad for snack!  Thank you for your participation.

K4A:  Ms. Joan, Mrs. Jenny M.  & Ms. Jenny S.
This week our focus is on keeping our bodies healthy through fitness.  We will be doing aerobics, simon says and the hokey pokey for fun activities.  We will challenge all the children to exercise every day and eat healthy.  Out letter for the week is F.  Please have your children been on the lookout for unique show-n-tell objects.  Our star student for this week is Lydia Burn.  We are excited to see her family tree and all of Lydia’s favorite things.  We hope that all of you have a wonderful week.

K4B:  Mrs. Catherine & Mrs. Tina
A special thank you to, Sara Miller for the (cupcakes) and Bryce Wallace for the (cookies) for the sweet show-n-tell treats.  These unexpected items made a great show-n-tell day.  Please remember to change the clothes in your child’s cubby.  With the change in weather your child needs long pants and a long sleeve shirt.  Also, remember jackets for these cool mornings.

K4C: Ms. Rosie & Mrs. Sally
We had a yummy week in K4C learning all about nutrition.  This week, we will be jumping, running and playing as we study fitness/Columbus Day.  Also, we will color the human heart, review our healthy foods and exercise together.  We will also be learning about Columbus Day as we pain the Nina, the Pinta and the Santa Maria.  The letter of the week is E.  Show-n-tell will be Friday, October 10.  Please allow your child to bring something that begins with the letter E.  Have a  great week!

PKA: Mrs. Terri & Mrs. Jennie
Yummy, yummy …….food is yummy!  We have had so much fun talking about good food that comes from the farm.   We made homemade butter, played games, classified food sources and graphed our favorite foods.  This week, we will talk more about good nutrition and learn to sort foods into food groups.  Our letter this week is the letter N, so bring something that begins with Nn on Friday.  Reminder, that our pumpkin Patch field trip is October 17th.  Please get your money and permission slips as soon as you can.

PKB: Mrs. Grisel & Mrs. Brandy
Hello PKB friends and family!  We learned all about the foods we need to eat to stay healthy last week, and this week, we will learn how exercise keeps our body healthy also.   Our letter of the week is Nn.  For show-n-tell, you may bring any thing that begins with the letter Nn.  Our star student is Katie Glawson.  Yeah Katie!  A big thanks to Olivia Clifton who was our star student last week.  You were a great star student Olivia.  Parents, just a reminder to turn in your field trip payment and permission slip if you haven’t do so already.  Thanks and have a great week!

Our theme this week is fitness & Columbus Day. Our babies stay fit by doing tummy time & jumping in the jump-a-roo and exersauer. Our baby of the week is Breland Hackney. Breland is 2 ? mths old. She loves to watch her mobile and likes to swing. She loves to be talked to and sung too. Her mom & dad are Natalie and Jeremy. Doesn’t the fall weather feel wonderful? God blesses us each year with a beautiful fall season to enjoy. Let’s be thankful.

We welcome this beautiful fall weather. Fall is a perfect time for being outdoors breathing fresh air and catching some vitamin D from the sun. There is nothing more beautiful than the leaves during this time of year. Go out and enjoy a long walk sometime this week.

We’re movin’ and govin’ in I3! We are all experts on doing pull-ups and moving around non-stop! All of us are getting so big. Ada Hasenbien is our star student this week. Ada is very independent and sooo sweet. She loves playing with her friends. We all wish Coleman, Grayson, Beckett, and Elise wonderful 1st birthdays!

This week in T1 we will be talking about fitness, Columbus Day and the letter E. We have a lot of fun art and activities planned!

E is for elephant! This week we will learn E words. We will also review letters A-D. Also the number we will be learning is 6. We will see what the number 6 looks like and learn the Spanish word for 6. We will also learn about fitness by having a mini-aerobics class each day with different kid-friendly exercises J Have a good week!

We are learning about “fitness” this week. We’ll continue to talk about healthy eating habits and add exercise to our daily activities! The letter of the week is Ee. We’ll make Elmo, eyes and elephants. We hope this week will be lots of fun!

Toddler Four

This week we will continue on with our healthy theme and add fitness to this week. We will run, attempt to jump rope and do jumping jacks! These 3 will also end up on our art. We are looking forward to getting into shape.

K3

It’s time to work out in K3! This week we will be learning all about the importance of exercise/fitness. We are going to do all kinds of exercise to get our heart pumping and energy flowing. The letter of the week is Ff and our number is 6. It’s going to be a great week in K3!

We are getting into shape this week in K4B! We will be learning about fitness and how to keep our bodies healthy. Our letter of the week is F and our number is 6. Our star student will be Ashley Girouard.

This week’s theme is fitness. We will learn about exercise and more healthy ways to energize our bodies. We plan to walk along the nature trail and learn simple exercises.

Pre-KB

Fitness and health will be our theme during this week. Friday we are going on a nature walk. Wed will be fitness day where we will participate in relays and other fitness exercise. Make sure to wear comfy clothes and shoes on this day. Number of the week is 6 and our letter is Ff. Ethan Kelley will be our star student.

This week in PKC it’s all about fitness. We also will talk about Christopher Columbus and how he discovered America. There are lots of fun things planned for art as well as ways to stay physically fit. Our letter of the week is Ff and our new number is 6. This is our week for the Pumpkin Patch.
